Sonu Sood REPLACES Rannvijay Singha: Latter Decides To Quit MTV Roadies; Clarifies There Were NO Differences With The Production House
Sonu Sood has been roped in to take up Rannvijay Singha’s job as the host for MTV Roadies after the latter decided to call it quits.
MTV and its fans have witnessed what can be called as the end of an era. Rannvijay Singha who was last seen hosting the reality show Shark Tank India has decided to quit Roadies. The show has witnessed a landmark development and a recent report suggests that Sonu Sood will be replacing Rannvijay Singha in MTV Roadies.
For the unversed, Singha has served as the Roadies host for 17-long-years, and his name has become synonymous with the popular youth shows and many fans feel that it will be difficult to imagine the show without him.
A recent Hindustan Times report quoted a source sharing that Rannvijay Singha has decided to call it quits because of his differences with the production house.
The source also shared, “A new production house is helming the upcoming season. And Singha was not very pleased with the production house. They had to part ways.”
Speaking of the same, Singha also explained his stand on the recent development and said that it is disheartening that things did not work out but called the channel his ‘pillar of strength.’ Singha also clarified that there were no issues with the production house and things seem to have ended mutually.
Considering, Singha’s statement it can be speculated that there was no bad blood between the channel and the now-former-host.
“I’ve been working with the channel for 18 years. I’ve done different shows with the network. Production house aur mera koi taal mel hai nahi,” he said. “The channel has been a key pillar of my journey and I’ll be doing interesting work with them. On this edition of Roadies, things didn’t work out from both sides. Our dates were not matching and it is disheartening,” he shares.
As mentioned earlier, Sonu Sood has reportedly been roped in to fill the vacant spot left by Rannvijay. Interestingly, Sood will be the only mentor-face of the show this year as other gang leaders – Neha Dhupia, Prince Narula and Raftaar have decided to call it quits as well.
